Greg's Bio

My love for boats started in my young years fishing with my dad and grandpa. What really hooked me on high performance boats was in the early 80's on Fontana Lake when a black Hydra-Sports with a solid black Mercury (no decals) punched the throttle and completely cleared the water – prop and all. After all, back then we use to put 200 hp on 16 and 17 footers.

In 1985 when I was 16 yrs old in high school I was offered an after school job at a local marine dealership. Soon thereafter, I was working on motors in addition to rigging boats. I learned to sell and work boat shows but my heart is in the shop. I've pretty much rigged and driven everything out there, learning to drive on Bass Hawks and Allison's.

A few years later came Bullets, Norris Crafts, and Hydro Streams just to mention a few of the fun ones. I was with this dealership for 14 years and during that time went to Mercury, Force, Yamaha, Mercruiser, OMC, and Evinrude & Johnson which I was able to achieve my Master Technician Certification.

I've always been an avid bass fisherman and love all kinds of fishing, small mouth being my favorite. In 1989-1991 I was sponsored by Hydra-Sports Boats and the dealership I was working for then. I still try to fish some of the fund raiser tournaments and go to the boat rally's and a race now and then.

1999 was the year I opened my own dealership. I've seen lots of changes in the marine industry in the last 25 years but I still love it. Thanks to my loyal customers for following me thru these years I am able to have a job that I enjoy.

I will always put neat rigging and top-notch quality workmanship first and go out of my way to help my customers who will receive hands-on, honest work from myself and my employees at all times.

I will always operate my business based on Christian values and faith.

I would like to invite you to call or come by for a down home friendly visit to talk fishing, put you in one of the fastest boats on the water, or get the pontoon ready for a family outing.
